Since middle blocker Raven Colvin left for the professional ball, several other key players for Purdue volleyball have also entered the transfer portal, thus removing the whole team’s best talent. According to Sports Illustrated’s story on Monday, the quartet entering the gateway consists of outside hitter Chloe Chicoine and pitcher Eva Hudson.
With a hitting % of.287 and an average of 4.81 kills per set, Hudson was Purdue’s most consistent attacking threat all season. Also, she earned first-team All-Big Ten honors and the Midwest Region Player of the Year title.
Chicoine, a sophomore, was an integral part of the Boilers’ 27-7 victory. Averaging 3.08 kills and 2.95 digs per set in her sophomore year, she became the most decorated freshman in Purdue volleyball history.
